GTA San Andreas — Android Installation Guide
==============================================

BEFORE YOU START: REQUIREMENTS CHECK
--------------------------------------
- Free storage: at least 3 GB free (the installed game plus its data files
is roughly 2.5 GB; leave extra headroom for saves and cache).
- Android version: Android 8.0 or newer is recommended for stability on
current builds. Older versions may still run the game but are more
  prone to crashes on startup.
- RAM: 2 GB minimum, 3 GB+ recommended for smoother performance with
  higher draw distance settings.
- A stable download source for both the APK and its OBB/data file, if
your version of the game requires one separately.

STEP-BY-STEP SETUP
--------------------------------------
1. Confirm free storage space using your device's Settings > Storage menu
before downloading anything. Low storage is the single most common
   cause of failed installs.

2. Enable "Install from unknown sources" (or "Install unknown apps") for
your browser or file manager in Android Settings > Apps > Special
access, since the game is not distributed through the Play Store.

3. Install the APK file first. Do not open the game yet if your version
   requires a separate OBB/data file.

4. If an OBB file is required, place it in the correct folder before
   first launch:
     Android/obb/com.rockstargames.gtasa/
The OBB filename must match exactly what the game expects — do not
   rename it.

5. Launch the game once both the APK and OBB (if required) are in place.
The first launch may take longer than normal while the game unpacks
or verifies its data files — this is normal and does not mean it has
   frozen.

6. Grant storage permission if prompted. Without it, the game cannot read
its own data files and will crash or fail to load saves.

AFTER INSTALLING
--------------------------------------
- Do a short test run (5–10 minutes) before assuming everything is fine.
Some issues (texture pop-in, control lag) only appear once you're
  actually driving or in combat.
- If the game runs but feels unstable, see Recommended_Settings.txt
before assuming it's a hardware limitation — most stability issues on
  mid-range devices are settings-related, not hardware-related.
- If it crashes on launch or fails to load, see Troubleshooting.txt.
